This Privacy Policy describes how WaxTrading ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website and mobile applications (the "Service").
Information We Collect
- Account information — email, display name, and password hash. Optional profile fields you provide (dealer name, bio, payment methods accepted).
- Verification documents — government-issued ID and business documentation submitted to become a verified dealer. Stored in encrypted storage and accessible only to authorized WaxTrading staff.
- Transaction data — listings, offers, deals, messages exchanged in deal rooms, and dispute records.
- Payment data — processed by Stripe (or Apple, for in-app purchases on iOS). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Device and usage data — IP address, device identifiers, browser type, and pages visited, collected for security and analytics.
How We Use Information
- To operate the marketplace, match buyers with sellers, and facilitate deals.
- To verify dealer identity and prevent fraud.
- To process payments and memberships.
- To send transactional emails (deal updates, dispute notices, receipts).
- To send product updates and marketing (opt-out available).
- To comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We share information with:
- Other users — your display name, dealer name (if applicable), verification badge, ratings, and public listings are visible to other users.
- Service providers — Stripe (payments), Apple (iOS in-app purchases), our hosting and email providers, subject to confidentiality obligations.
- Legal authorities — when required by law or to protect rights, safety, or property.
We do not sell personal information.
Data Retention
We retain account and transaction data for as long as your account is active plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. Verification documents are retained per applicable KYC/AML requirements.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction or deletion.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Data portability.
- Withdraw consent for marketing communications.

Security

The Service is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
